Vehicles in Germany's Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Authorities mentioned they were notified by a man who found a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Around fifty vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Law enforcement report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a individual discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish liquid.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a banned symbol, they stated.

Officers then discovered numerous other vandalized vehicles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under legislation outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials report early analysis indicate the substance was probably human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no lead as to its origin; authorities are not yet informed of any harm in association with the event," they stated.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the residents for information.

A high-ranking political figure commented the incident left him stunned and had to be resolved promptly.

"This act strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist violent incident five years ago," he posted on a platform, mentioning the killing of nine people by a gunman targeting people of immigrant origin in 2020.
